Father's Day

This past weekend was Father's Day(June 21,2009). It has been 3 years since I lost my Dad and I still miss him everyday. My neice's father came to visit her and we had a cookout at my house and of course, we took pictures. We had a great time and I was really glad to see father and daughter bonding. We should all treasure our parents. Here is a picture of my neice with her dad.

BEAUTIFUL FRUIT

I stopped at a produce stand and I just had to snap a few pictures of all the beautiful fruit that was there. And you know I had to buy everything that I took a picture of. I got some big and juicy strawberries, some peaches, blueberries, and cherries and some fresh lemons to make some homemade lemonade. And some nice big tomatoes.

I noticed this beautiful cloud and I just had to snap a picture of it and I just had to get these beautiful flowers also.

Our air conditioner went out today and it is gonna be 91 degrees here in NC today. Of course I called the repairman but he can't get here until sometime next week. Of course you know that I'm not gonna stay here without any air. So I went to Home Depot and bought a window unit. And once again, I have air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my new best friend

FREINDSHIP

I just had to post this on my blog. I went to visit a friend earlier this month. What started out as a weekend trip turned into a 2-week stay. I was having sooooooooooo much fun with my friends that I didn't want to leave. But all good things must come to an end. We really didn't do much of anything but just hang around and catch up on what's been happening in each other's lives. And I also caught up with another one of my friends that I haven't seen in about 3 or 4 years while I was there. Together we had a really good time. They will always be my best friends.

THUNDERSTORMS!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a very gloomy and dreary day. Then came the thunderstorms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I got the chance to take a nice long nap. I'm not gonna let the rain spoil my excitement of seeing my best friend tomorrow. I'm so ready to go!!!!!!!

TRUE FRIENDHSIP

This weekend, I'm going out of town and I will be visiting my best friend. We always talk on the phone, but we really haven't seen each other in a very long time. She is my very best friend(besides my husband) and we always have soooooooooo much fun together. I'm really looking foward to seeing her again. I'm ready to laugh and bug out like we always do when we get together. LOL!!!!! I will take plenty of pictures and post them when I return.

MOTHER'S DAY

My Mother's Day 2009 was very nice. Even though I'm not a mother, I still enjoy that day. My mother and my sister and my neice came to my house and I cooked breakfast and a big dinner for my mother and sister. We really had a good time just playing around and being silly.

CHANGES

As you can see, I've made a few changes to my blog. I thought that since it's Spring time and I really love flowers, that I would brighten up my blog page. But I decided to keep my reading list because I like for everybody to know what I'm reading so that maybe they can read it too.

IT'S SPRING

I'm so glad that spring is finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just love to see all of the flowers and see the bright colors. This is my favorite time of the year because it's not too hot and it's not too cold. The only thing I don't like is the spring cleaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SPORTS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is Sunday, which is sports day for me and my husband. We are watching the basketball game(Duke vs. Florida State). And again today it is raining, so after the game I am going to curl up on the couch and finish reading my latest book BLOW OUT by Catherine Coulter. It is a very good book and I know that I won't be able to do anything else until I finish it. Gotta go, the game's back on.

Today it is raining and has been raining all day. On days like this I always curl up on the couch with a good book and read all day long. My husband is watching all of the basketball games that are on t.v. but I don't even feel like doing that. I just want to sit and do nothing, which is what I'm going to do.

We had a beautiful snowstorm at the beginning of March. My husband and I were outside playing in that snow like we were children. He threw a great big snowball at me and hit me right in the face.
